Interview with Dr Janhardan Saithala at the Stainless Steel World show |
Fine Tubes’ Materials and Corrosion Specialist Dr. Janardhan Saithala is giving an interview shortly after his presentation at the Stainless Steel World conference, with the title
‘Corrosion Resistance of Lean Duplex, Duplex and Super Duplex in Chloride Solutions at Elevated Temperatures’
Based in Plymouth, the UK, Fine Tubes’ Dr. Saithala is enthusiastic about his work: “We want to generate more insight into the performance of the duplex stainless steels in actual service conditions. This is a very practical approach, as this data will not only give us a better understanding of the metallurgical benefits of each duplex grade but also provide us with the know-how to help end-users to select the most suitable material for their specific application. Saithala explains: “With these studies Fine Tubes are also able to further qualify the application of its welded super duplex tubes to critical markets, such as umbilicals.”
